CROSS RIVER, NY — They say Maine is beautiful this time of year and those of us in the Hudson Valley will get a chance to see for ourselves with a brief visit to "Almost, Maine."

The Katonah-Lewisboro school district announced that John Jay High School's Theater Workshop will present a limited run of three performances of "Almost, Maine" this month.

According to producers, the play, written by John Cariani in 2002, is set on an evening in early January, in the fictitious town of Almost, Maine. In nine separate scenes, the citizens of Almost experience love in all its wondrous variety: they meet, fall in love, struggle with commitment, cement bonds, break up and yearn for connection all beneath the vast, starry Maine sky.
