Bedford 2020 Food Forum Set For Saturday

One of the keynote speakers will be Mark Bittman of the New York Times.

BEDFORD, NY — The Bedford 2020 Food Forum will be held Saturday, March 4.

Co-hosted by Bedford 2020 and the Bedford Central School District, the all day event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Fox Lane High School, 632 S. Bedford Rd. in Bedford.

According to information on the Bedford 2020 website, the community event will engage people in the many benefits of local food and build awareness and support for the area farmers, the food system and initiatives to increase food access and eliminate food waste.

There will be keynote addresses from New York Times food journalist Mark Bittman and chef and Wholesome Wave founder Michel Nischan.

Also during the day there will be demonstrations of cooking, gardening and composting and workshops for teens.
