Bedford District Changes Schedule Of Community Forums
Two of the original five meetings are still on the schedule.

BEDFORD, NY — A previously announced series of community forums scheduled by Bedford school officials to discuss the development of a long-range plan for the district's schools has been changed. The community forums scheduled for 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Tuesday will continue as originally planned.
The forums scheduled for 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Monday and 4 p.m. Tuesday have been canceled.
Community members will also have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A with board members and administrators during the board of education meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday.

The meetings will all take place in the Mary Lou Meese Theater at Fox Lane High School.
The district is doing long-range planning to answer such questions as what the best way is to serve students and the best way to use taxpayer's money.

News at the beginning of the school year that officials were considering whether to close an elementary school in the face of significant declining enrollment has sent controversy swirling throughout the community. Bedford serves students in Bedford, Mount Kisco, Pound Ridge and parts of New Castle and North Castle.
