Bedford Police Warn About Unlocked Cars
Police said there have been a rise in complaints about thefts from cars that were unlocked.
BEDFORD, NY — The Bedford Police Department is warning the community about leaving cars unlocked overnight. In a Facebook post Friday, the police said that in the past week there have been a "dramatic rise in complaints" from Katonah residents regarding thefts from unlocked vehicles in their driveways during the overnight hours.
"We remind you to secure your vehicles and do not leave valuables in your car," the post said.
Residents are asked to call 914-241-3111 immediately if you observe suspicious activity.
