Bedford Schools 2016-17 Calendar

BEDFORD, NY — The first day of school in the Bedford Central School District is September 1, and it's coming up fast.

Here are other important dates in the 2016-17 calendar.

• Rosh Hashanah (school closed): Oct. 3, 4
• Columbus Day (school closed): Oct. 10
• Yom Kippur (school closed): Oct. 12
• Veterans Day (school closed): Nov. 11
• Thanksgiving: Half day on Nov. 23, schools closed Nov. 24 and 25
• Holiday recess (school closed): Starts with half day on Dec. 23, and school resumes Jan. 3
• Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday (school closed): Jan. 16
• Winter Recess (school closed): Feb. 20 - 24
• Spring recess (school closed): April 10 – 17
• Memorial Day (school closed): May 29
• Last day of school: June 23
