UPDATE: Katonah-Lewisboro, Bedford Schools Change Dismissal Decision

UPDATE Jan. 26: Bedford and Katonah-Lewisboro schools are closed Jan. 26. Putnam-Northern Westchester BOCES and the Harvey School will be closed.

Kat-Lew officials went ahead and decided to announce schools will be closed Jan. 27 too.

• National Weather Service Issues Blizzard Warning

The NWS upgraded its forecast for Bedford and Mount Kisco to a blizzard warning, with predictions of snow beginning Monday and rapidly intensifying.

As of Sunday night, Bedford Central Schools is announcing an EARLY DISMISSAL schedule for Monday, January 26.

It is HIGHLY PROBABLE this could change to a SCHOOL CLOSING and we will call and notify you again Monday morning with the updated status.

All after school and evening events Monday are cancelled.

It is also highly probably there will not be school on Tuesday. We will send another message later in the day Monday.

Dr. Adelberg will send a separate message to Fox Lane High School students about Regents exams.

All schools are operating on an early dismissal schedule on Monday, January 26th,

Due to the impending storm the district will operate on an early dismissal schedule on Monday, January 26th. The early dismissal will begin with JJMS dismissing at 10:00 a.m., JJHS dismissing at 10:50 a.m. and elementary schools dismissing at 11:40 a.m. Lunches will not be served. All after school activities are canceled. JJHS will have mid-term exams period 1 only.

No Regents exams on Monday or Tuesday. All other exams will be rescheduled - more information to follow.

All schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 27th. Additional information will be sent as conditions change.

Due to the impending weather, The Harvey School will be closed on Mon., Jan 26th. Updates about Tues. will be sent Mon. afternoon.
