Bedford Voters To Decide On 2018-19 School Budget

Spending in the proposed budget is up 4.6 percent from the current year.

BEDFORD, NY — Voters in the Bedford Central School District will be going to the polls Tuesday, May 15 to decide whether to pass the budget for the 2018-19 school year. The proposed spending package is $135.3 million, up 4.62 percent from the current year.

School officials said the increase is due to the addition of $1.8 million to the budget to address deferred maintenance and repairs.

The tax levy increase is 2.99 percent.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 15 at the five elementary schools.

Informational budget meetings will take place at 7:30 p.m. May 7 at West Patent Elementary School, May 8 at Mount Kisco Elementary School and May 9 at Pound Ridge Elementary School.
