BEDFORD, NY — Turning 100 is a big deal, and the Bedford Fire Department will celebrate its centennial in a big way.
The 100th Anniversary Parade will be held Saturday, September 9, starting at 4 p.m. The parade route will end at Bedford Village Park, but the party won't end there. A celebration with free food, music, face painting, firetrucks, bounce houses and, of course, fireworks is on tap.
Nearly 40 fire departments from Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess and Fairfield counties are expected to be on hand to mark the extra-special occasion.
