Join us at Westmoreland Sanctuary for an exciting hands-on program where kids become animal caretakers for a day. This fun and interactive experience gives children the opportunity to learn what it takes to care for the different animals housed at Westmoreland and ultimately gain a connection with and a deeper appreciation for animals and nature. 

Under the supervision of a Westmoreland Sanctuary animal caretaker, kids will:<ul><li>Meet the animals: Get an up-close look at our resident reptiles, amphibians, birds and mammals while learning about their care and their role in educating the public on wildlife conservation.</li><li>Animal care basics: Help with the daily routine of caring for the animals. Including cleaning enclosures, maintaining the health of our animals and providing enrichment.</li><li>Feed the animals: Learn about the dietary needs of the Sanctuary's animal ambassadors. Learning about their diets helps us understand their behavior and ensure they stay healthy.</li></ul>

Immerse yourself in William Shakespeare’s timeless tales on a scenic stroll through Bristow Bird Sanctuary. Professional actors and musicians bring to life beloved scenes and songs inspired by Shakespeare’s greatest works. Visitors may encounter the romance of Romeo &amp; Juliet, the whimsy of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, the magic of The Tempest, and the dark intrigue of Macbeth—complete with witches and sword fights—along with sonnets, madrigals, and more. Join us on a journey through nature and story.
Performance Details: This is an outdoor promenade-style experience where audience members are led down a walking path and encounter various Shakespearean vignettes. The total distance is less than a mile on a smooth gravel path with light gradation. The full experience is ADA accessible.
Groups of 15–20 will depart every 15 minutes from 11:00 AM–3:00 PM for a 45-50 minute traveling experience. Tickets Limited!
All ages welcome.

The Glass House Historic Museum and Cultural Site

The Glass House is a renowned historical museum and architectural modernist landmark located in New Canaan, Connecticut. As a site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the 49-acre site offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore the iconic residence and grounds designed by architect Philip Johnson. All tours originate from the Visitor Center and Design Store at 199 Elm Street, serving as the gateway to this significant cultural destination.
