We are pleased to welcome Charles Ludington, a wine connoisseur, Columbia University Ph.D. in History, and author of four books, most recently Food Fight: How History Matters to Contemporary Food Debates.
Burgundy and Champagne are adjacent regions in France, and the wines they produce are (mostly) made from the same two grapes: Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Historically, these wines even fought for the same Parisian and Northern French markets. Come hear world-leading wine historian Dr. Chad Ludington explain how these two rivals became such different wines, while also tasting examples of both-- a perfect way to prepare for the holidays!
