Car Slams Into Building

A car rammed into a building at 105 South Bedford Rd. earlier this morning.

The female driver accidentally hit the gas pedal, swerved across the curb and slammed into the side of the building.

She was taken to Northern Westchester Hospital Center with minor injuries.

The Bedford Police Department received the call at 7:24 a.m., following which a firetruck was dispatched to the scene. 

It looked like the woman would need to be extricated at first, but emergency services found she was able to climb out, Lt. Jeffrey Dickan of the Bedford Police Department said. 

There was minor damage to the building.
