Carmel Man Charged With Felony DWI In Bedford

BEDFORD, NY — State Police in Troop K said they removed 23 impaired drivers from public roadways over the July 13, 2019, weekend. One of the arrests, in Bedford, carried a felony charge because the driver had a previous conviction, police said.

On July 13, State Police from SP Somers arrested Andres F. Valencia, 24, of Carmel, for DWI with a prior conviction, a class E felony. He was traveling on Interstate 684 in Bedford, when he was stopped for a violation of the vehicle and traffic law. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of alcohol, police alleged.
