Carr the Unofficial Winner of Special Election for Bedford Town Board

The election filled a vacant seat.

The special election for a vacant town board seat, according to unofficial county Board of Election results, seems to have gone to MaryAnn Carr, a Democrat.

With 94 percent of the vote reported at 10:10 p.m. Tuesday, Carr had 1,178 votes to Republican Luke Vander Linden’s 814.

The election filled a seat vacated by Francis Corcoran, who resigned when he was elected to the county legislature.
