Cashew Product Recalled by Stop and Shop

There are Stop and Shop stores in Westchester and Rockland counties and in the Mid-Hudson Valley.

Stop and Shop is recalling one of their products over concerns it may contain glass.

The grocery chain is recalling Emerald 100 Calorie Cashew Halves & Pieces, 4.34. ounces.

The UPC code is 1030033324, and all date codes are being pulled.

The manufacturer, Snyder’s-Lance, announced the voluntary recall due to the possible presence of small glass pieces.

No injuries have been reported to date, the company said, and said the action was taken after receiving a customer complaint.

All date codes are being recalled, but actual “Best Before Date” for the products of concern are 12 DEC 16, 12 DEC 16, 18 DEC 16 and 21 DEC 16.

Stop and Shop said customers may return the impacted product for a full refund.

Snyder's-Lance said consumers who may have purchased the product listed above should not consume it but should contact Consumer Affairs for a full refund online at http://www.emeraldnuts.com/contact-emerald/ or by calling 503-364-0399 between 8am and 5pm Pacific Time, Monday – Friday.
