Chinese Language School of Connecticut Open House will be on March 26 and April 23, 2017

"Mathletes" gather at the Chinese Language School of Connecticut to solve puzzles, play games and socialize every Sunday.

While the younger students practice mental agility, the more experienced, older participants attack difficult problems with support from Greenwich High School and Brunswick school mentors Derrick Xiong, Jovita Li, Kevin Tu lead by Steven Ma. These high school mentors, all of whom are from Greenwich, are winners of prestigious math competitions and are among the top math students in the US. The advanced group is preparing for the American Mathematics Competitions AMC 8 and AMC10; nationwide contests which takes place during March of each year.

College student Emily Myers lead introductory classes with assistant Alex Sung of Greenwich has filled to capacity. After an hour, Mathletes are reluctant to leave. Squeals and laughter fill the hallway as students make plans for next weeks’ session. CLSC’s goal will always be to make learning a positive experience for everyone.
