Crash Leads to DWI Arrest of Bedford Hills Woman, 28

State police allege that Palomino's Blood Alcohol Content was more than twice the legal limit at the time of the accident.

A two-vehicle accident early Sunday on I-684 in Harrison led to the arrest of a 28-year-old Bedford Hills woman on a misdemeanor charge of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated. No injuries were reported.

The car Jessica Palomino was driving a little after 4 a.m. on Dec. 21 collided with a tractor trailer, driven by Howell Asch of Bethpage, NY.

Asch was not charged. While investigating the accident, state police troopers said that Palomino was intoxicated, and her Blood Alcohol Content was .19 percent, more than two-times the legal limit.

On December 21, 2014 at approximately 4:10 a.m., New York State Police from the Somers station charged 28-year-old Jessica Palomino, of Bedford Hills, New York, with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor.

Troopers were dispatched by the Hudson Valley Transportation Management Center to a two-car auto crash that occurred on Interstate 684. Investigation revealed that Palomino was operating a 2006 Honda that failed to maintain its lane of travel and subsequently struck a 2001 Freightliner Tractor Trailer, operated by Howell Asch of Bethpage, New York.

No injuries were reported as a result of the collision, however Palomino was found to be intoxicated.

Palomino provided a breath sample that yielded a Blood Alcohol Content of .19%, more than two times the legal limit of intoxicated.

Palomino was issued traffic tickets ordering her to appear before the Town of Harrison Justice Court on January 6, 2015 at 9:00 a.m.
