Delivering PPE Where Needed: Goldens Bridge Hero
Mary Grace Pagaduan was nominated as a local hero during the coronavirus outbreak.

GOLDENS BRIDGE, NY — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.

What does the nominee do for work?
Coordinates more than 3,000 volunteers annually to sort medical supplies. Currently she is spearheading a drive to deliver more than 1 million PPEs to local hospitals and first responders like volunteer ambulances.
Why do you believe the nominee should be recognized or honored?
She commutes everyday from Goldens Bridge to Yonkers. She motivates all of the staff and volunteers to harvest, package and deliver as much PPE in a day as possible. She has not missed a day since the pandemic began.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about your hero?
She has the most infectious laugh and is equally welcoming to everyone. She also has an MPH in public health.
