Early Dismissals Ahead Of Storm At All Katonah-Lewisboro Schools

An early winter storm already causing havoc across the country is expected to bring heavy rain, damaging winds and flooding to the area.

KATONAH-LEWISBORO, NY — Katonah-Lewisboro public school students will be getting an early start to their winter break, thanks to a winter storm headed this direction.

Due to the predictions of rapidly falling temperatures tomorrow afternoon, following significant rainfall tonight and through the day, school officials have announced they will dismiss all schools early on Friday.

  • John Jay Middle School and High School will dismiss at 11:30 a.m.
  • All elementary schools will dismiss at 12:30 p.m.

Elementary school parents who pick up their children may pick them up in the usual locations at 12:15 p.m. At Katonah Elementary School, students who walk home will be dismissed at 12:15 p.m.

There will be no lunch service in schools tomorrow.

Country Children's Center will be closed in the afternoon. Students who are normally taken to Country Children's Center in the afternoon will instead be taken directly home.
