NORTH SALEM, NY —The polls have closed and the votes have been tallied. The unofficial results are in. Here's what the voters decided in the 2022 North Salem school budget election.
The North Salem School District 2021-22 budget was approved by voters.
The budget is $47,860,718 with a 4.24 percent increase over the 2021 -2022 spending package.

School officials said the tax levy will increase by 2.07 percent.
There were a total of three school trustee seats to be filled for three-year terms. The following candidates ran uncontested:

- Brandy Keenan (incumbent)
- Frances Havard
The proposition regarding $1,085,000 funding for seven 66-passenger school buses, three wheelchair-accessible buses/vans and a skid steer bucket loader with attachments was approved.
