The 2nd Annual Bedford Central School District Elementary Bike /Run will be held on Sunday, May 20th from 8a-noon at the Fox Lane Campus in Bedford.
We are expecting 1,000 attendees including our 320 K-5th grade BikeRun athletes. This years event is themed FUTURE FOXES and participants are encouraged to decorate themselves or their bikes with their Future Fox spirit.
BikeRun is made possible through the sponsorship of: OptumHealth, MKMG, Houlihan Lawrence, NY Life, Bicycle World, Jarden Westchester Triathlon, Furman Printing, Mt. Kisco Childcare Center, Panera, Frannie's Goodie Shop, Healing Home Foods and SBZ Events. We will also be showcasing some wonderful community resources such as the FL Boosters, Bedford 2020, Community Education Foundation/Friends of Music Arts (CEF/FOMA), the BCSD Wellness Committee and West Patent & Mt. Kisco Garden Committees.
There will be a robust raffle with over $5,000 worth of merchandise -including 3 new bicycles. Proceeds will be split between the 5 elementary schools to support their Wellness/Fitness efforts.
Opening Ceremonies start at 9a and will include the Fox Lane Pep Band, Dance team, a special 4th grader singing the National Anthem, VIP's and more!
Although registration is full, we welcome all members of the community to come cheer on the athletes and enjoy the BikeRun festivities. And/or the community is invited to come enjoy the Fox Lane Campus from noon on May 20th. Come play tennis, run the track, toss a ball around on the turf. Sports games have been suspended for the afternoon of May 20th to afford the community an open afternoon to enjoy the wonderful campus.
