Conservatives To Host Reception for Duffy

The Lewisboro Conservative Town Committee is hosting a reception for Charlie Duffy in support of his campaign for a second term as Lewisboro supervisor at the Horse & Hound Inn, South Salem on Sunday afternoon May 22, at 5 PM.

Duffy, who is in his first term as town supervisor, currently holds the highest elected political office in New York State for a registered conservative.  He is a former chief financial officer and comptroller, who has earned both a CPA and MBA.  If successful in November, Mr. Duffy will be the first supervisor in the Town of Lewisboro to be reelected in a decade.

Special guest for the gathering will be Hugh Fox, Jr., chairman of the Westchester County Conservative Party.

Lewisboro Conservative chair, Evelyn Kahlow, said everyone is welcome regardless of political affiliation or whether they live in town. "There are only a few of us in Lewisboro, and as was the case two years ago, we will be working with a broad coalition of voters to make sure that Charlie is successful again," she said.  She went on to praise Mr. Duffy, noting that even though his first term was not yet complete: "Charlie has already made town government more efficient and demonstrated his ability to make the tough choices necessary to bring our town’s finances back from the brink."

The cost for the event is $35 per person, $60 per couple, and includes appetizers and nonalcoholic beverages (cash bar). Sponsorships are $250 (which includes four tickets).  The Horse & Hound Inn is at 94 Spring Street in South Salem.  For more information or to reserve a place, call 914.763.5432, or e-mail ehahlon@msn.com.
