The Barbara E. Giordano Foundation Celebrates 20 Years with An Evening of Stars & Stripes Gala
On Friday, October 14th The Barbara E. Giordano Foundation will commemorate their 20th anniversary with An Evening of Stars & Stripes Gala at the Doral Arrowwood Conference Center in Rye Brook, NY. The event will honor retired Army Sgt. Major Jocey Henderson for her personal service and devotion to our nation, and to the support and care she works to provide on a daily basis for the men and women veterans who have sacrificed so much to keep the United States safe. The evening will also feature entertainment by the USO.
The Foundation will celebrate twenty years of providing holistic education, services and programs to women, and will kick off its new mission of focusing on the needs of women veterans and their families.
“We are so excited to celebrate our 20th anniversary by revamping our mission to focus on women veterans. We believe that because we have always focused on the empowerment of women, and have a long and well-documented history of providing support and growth opportunities for women over the last two decades, this puts us in a unique position to take up and successfully establish an organization that will serve the specific needs of our women veterans and their families.” said Virginia Giordano, Foundation founder and event co-chair.

About The Barbara Giordano Foundation
The Barbara E. Giordano Foundation helps women veterans and their families meet their specific needs by providing holistic health education programs, empowering them to experience self renewal. The Foundation is named after the late Barbara E. Giordano, a nurse, hospital administrator and author who championed the cause for every patient, demanding the best of care for each individual. While she possessed an incredible knowledge of “traditional” medicine, she had a strong dedication to holistic health education programs for women. This organization underscores her personal belief that by establishing a community of dedicated and creative women, individual lives can change and the world can be a better and happier place for all of those who inhabit it.
