Firefighters Rescue More Than 40 Cats from Beacon House Fire
The occupant of the house was not at home when the fire started.

Beacon, NY — Firefighters responding to a house fire in the City of Beacon Tuesday ended up rescuing more than 40 cats and taking them to the Mid-Hudson Animal Aid Center.

The Poughkeepsie Journal reported that there were no humans in the home, but that 70 cats were inside the home when an accidental fire started in the kitchen.
