Free Car Washes To Health-Care Workers, 1st Responders In Bedford
Russell Speeders is providing its service free-of-charge for those health-care and emergency workers who show their IDs.

BEDFORD HILLS, NY — Russell Speeders Car Wash has reopened, now that the New York State directive closing all car washes in late March was lifted. The reopening comes with the requirement that such service is currently limited to exterior car washing only, and does not allow any personal contact with the car wash staff, nor the use of self-serve vacuums and mat washers, until New York State permits such services to be provided.
Russell Speeder’s, located at 527 Bedford Road/Route 117 in Bedford Hills, will now be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week.
As required, Russell Speeders is providing its service free-of-charge to all health-care workers, first responders and emergency vehicles who come for a car wash and present their work ID.

Making this return to service possible is Russell Speeders’ innovative SpeederPass washing system that further eliminates any direct contact with any car wash staff resulting in a completely safe environment.
“In these days of the ‘new normal,’ we’re happy to provide some semblance of normality,” said Mike Shullman, Russell Speeder’s general manager. “And we look forward to the complete return of all our services whenever circumstances allow us to continue the service we’ve provided to our customers in this location since the 1960s.”
