Freeze Warning Issued Overnight Sunday for Westchester
Temperatures will plunge into the 20s by Monday morning.

The National Weather Service has issued two notices for Westchester County:
- Freeze Warning in effect from October 19, 02:00 AM EDT until October 19, 10:00 AM EDT
- Hazardous Weather Outlook
Temperatures should drop below freezing after midnight. Sensitive plants will be damaged or killed, the NWS warns.

“The night time will be the coldest night since March… as we drop into the mid 20s for most of the region,” says Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather. “ With calm winds and clear skies… expect a hard freeze for most of the Hudson Valley Sunday night into Monday...Once the area experiences a hard freeze, the National Weather Service usually considers the growing season over, and stops issuing advisories for frost and freeze conditions.”
