BEDFORD, NY — The Bedford Tri-Festa might sound like a Hunger Games-esque contest between hamlets to determine the strongest fighter, but quite the opposite is true.

Rather that a settling of ancient wrongs between tribes, the event is a celebration of three of the communities that make Bedford so special. Don't worry — what the festivities lack in bloodsport is more than made up for with family-friendly activities.

Bedford's Tri-Festa returns this Saturday to Bedford Hills Memorial Park, from 3:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. There will be food trucks, live music, community organizations and most important of all, Captain Lawrence Beer & Wine Garden.

A special family area will be open from 3:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m., in Rosafort Field. There will be inflatables, airbrush tattoos, a rock wall, lawn games and Grit Ninja (okay, maybe some bloodsport).

There will be limited handicapped parking in the park. All other attendees with cars must park in the commuter lots and take the shuttles. Details about parking are below.
