Harvey Boys Tennis Team Top Seed in HVALs

The Harvey boys tennis team, the two-time defending Housatonic Valley Athletic League champion, has finished its regular season with a perfect 12-0 record.  Harvey, the #1 seed in the HVAL playoffs, defeated Forman 6-3 Monday to wrap up the regular season.

The Cavaliers will go for three consecutive league titles starting with a semifinal match-up with the #5 seed South Kent School at Katonah Memorial Park on Wednesday.  In the other semifinal contest Wednesday, #2 seed Forman hosts #3 Watkinson.

In Monday's match, Harvey continued its domination of the league. Alec Roslin, chosen by Forman for the sportsman award, won his singles match 10-2. Roslin’s victory was followed up by singles wins from Harry Solomon (10-0), Zach Schwartz (10-1), David Weiner (10-6) and Bryan Krosser (10-5). At #1 doubles the Harvey pairing of Roslin and Solomon notched an 8-2 win.

Harvey won both matches against Forman this season. If Harvey wins Wednesday, the Cavaliers play for the HVAL championship Saturday.
