Harvey School Gives Christian Camargo Outstanding Alum Award
The actor and filmmaker was inducted into the Katonah school's Hall of Fame.

It was quite a homecoming Saturday, Sept. 20 for Christian Camargo, an actor and filmmaker, who was presented with an Outstanding Alumni Award by The Harvey School at the induction ceremony for the school’s Alumni Hall of Fame. The event was part of the festivities for Harvey’s annual Homecoming Day which featured a full slate of games for the school’s fall varsity athletic teams.
Camargo, a native of Katonah, had entered Harvey in the middle school and graduated from the upper school in 1989. Harvey honored him for his achievements in theater and film as an actor, writer and director.
Camargo, who said he discovered his love of theater when he was a student at Harvey, told the gathering of alumni and faculty that he was “humbled” by being inducted into the school’s Hall of Fame. “I see myself as a symbol of every student who comes through Harvey and finds themselves. Harvey opened my eyes to what it is that we’re supposed to do in the world. I wasn’t formed in college. I was formed in high school here at Harvey.”
