Icy Roads Cause 6-Car Crash On I-684, 2 Killed
One of those killed was a 3-year-old boy.
BEDFORD, NY — A man and a child were killed Saturday in a crash on I-684 for which icy roads are being blamed. Six vehicles were involved in the crash that occurred around 2:30 p.m. Saturday south of Exit 4.
The driver of a box truck was not able to stop and struck another vehicle that was stopped in traffic, killing the driver Kerry Hamill, 40, of Massachusetts, and a 3-year-old boy, News 12 said.
Hamill’s wife survived and was hospitalized.
