John Jay Football Cruises to 61-0 Win in Opener

Indians dominanted in all facets of the game.

The John Jay Indians dominated Walter Panas en route to a 61-0 victory Saturday.

Indian Head Coach Jimmy Clark was proud of his players' performance throughout the evening

"We played really well tonight," he said.

John Jay was solid all around from special teams, defense, to big plays including a 60-yard interception return from Jay Smith in the second quarter.

"We did it all," Clark told his team. "I'm really pleased with what I saw."

The Indians led 14-0 at the end of the first on a Brian Kass one-yard touchdown. John Jay then continued to rack up the score for a 34-0 lead heading into the third.

Backups continued the Indians' dominance throughout the second half en route to the 61-0 victory.

Senior Starting Quarterback Hime Rrace passed for two touchdowns and ran for one to lead the Indians.

Kass had two rushing TD. Danny Caiola had one rushing and one receiving.

Sophomore Backup Quarterback Jack Lambert also had two.

John Jay next plays Horace Greeley on the road at 3:30 Thursday.
