John Jay HS Student-Athletes Commit To Play For D1 Colleges
The sports to which the students have committed include equestrian, rowing, swim, lacrosse, basketball and cross country.

CROSS RIVER, NY — Ten John Jay High School student-athletes committed to play for NCAA Division 1 colleges. According to a spokeswoman, friends and family gathered in John Jay High School’s Team Room Monday for the National Letter of Intent Signing Ceremony for the students.
“We celebrate the great accomplishments by our students-athletes,” said Christian McCarthy, director of health, physical education, athletics and wellness.
“What I think is most exciting is the wide range of sports that our students are representing — equestrian, rowing, swim, lacrosse, basketball and cross country. Not a lot of schools have such a broad range of athletics at such a high level,” McCarthy said.
