K-9 Vinn Found Car's Secret Compartment Filled With 2 Kilos Cocaine, Crack Cocaine, Fentanyl: NYSP

The car had been stopped by police on I-684 when the felonious discovery was made, according to troopers.

LEWISBORO, NY — A very good boy found uncovered an illicit stash, according to NYSP.

The New York State Police say that on Tuesday, around 6:30 p.m., members of the NYS Police Troop K Community Stabilization Unit stopped a vehicle that had been traveling north on I-684, in the Town of Lewisboro.

Police say the driver of the car was 36-year-old John Williams, of the Bronx, while the front-seat passenger was 48-year-old Jorge L. Centeno, of Brooklyn.

During the investigation, while troopers searched the vehicle, they found an aftermarket electronic hidden compartment.

NYSP K-9 Vinn conducted an exterior scan of the vehicle, and alerted troopers to the presence of narcotics.

A search of the compartment yielded about 2 kilograms of cocaine, several individually packaged amounts of crack cocaine, and around 28 grams of fentanyl.

Williams and Centeno were arrested and charged with felony first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance; felony criminal possession of a controlled substance (narcotic); and two felony counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

State police say the pair was arraigned in the Town of North Castle Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail.
