Katonah Girl, 9, Makes Broadway Debut in 'Matilda'

Katonah 5th grader Zoe Manarel recently made her Broadway debut in the Tony Award-winning Musical, “Matilda,” at the Schubert Theater in New York City.

Zoe played the role of Lavender, Matilda’s best friend.

The 9-year-old performer has been acting professionally for 2 years in theater, television, commercials and print. Previously Zoe played Young Amelie in the Broadway Lab production of ”Amelie” the musical, Anne in the Off Broadway Musical “A Little Princess,” as well as Young Zhong Mei in the Musical reading of “Unbound.”

She has also made appearances on “Inside Amy Schumer,“ “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and “Unforgettable,“ as well as numerous commercials and print work.
