Katonah Jazz Guitarist Up for Two Grammys

A jazz guitarist from Katonah has been nominated for two Grammy awards.

John Scofield was nominated for best jazz instrumental album and best improvised jazz solo, according to an article in the Seattle Times.

The CD is titled “Past Present,” and Scofield said his wife and manager, Susan, came up with the title.

The Seattle Times said many of the composition were written after Scofield’s son was being treated for cancer.
