Katonah Man Arrested For Sexually Assaulting Teen: Police

The victim said the rape took place in May.

BEDFORD, NY — An arrest of a Katonah man has been made by Bedford Police in a sexual assault case. A 16-year-old female reported the assault Aug. 25 to the police. She said the incident took place May 14 at a residence in Katonah.

An extensive investigation was conducted by the Bedford Police Department’s Detective Bureau, in conjunction with the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office. On Oct. 3, Bedford Police — along with the Westchester County District Attorney’s Office — served a search warrant at the residence in question.

Nathaniel C. Dooley, 21, of Katonah, was taken into custody.

Police said Dooley is known to the victim.

Evidence was seized and Dooley was charged with third-degree rape and first-degree attempted disseminating indecent material to minors.

Dooley was processed at Bedford Police Headquarters and arraigned in the Town of Bedford Justice Court.

He is being held at the Westchester County Jail on $5,000 bail and is due back in court on Oct. 4.
