The Kettle Is On: Hot Chocolate In The Park With Shelley Mayer
There will be several chances this December to meet your elected representative in Albany while helping out for a good cause as well.
WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY —The hot chocolate and marshmallows will be provided — just bring canned goods for those in need and your thoughts about state and local current affairs.
New York State Senator Shelley Mayer is inviting constituents to share a hot chocolate with her in the park. Events are scheduled for Yonkers, Armonk, Bedford Hills, Mamaroneck and West Harrison.
Five meet and greet food drives are scheduled in December:

- Tibbetts Brook Park on Dec. 6
- Wampus Brook Park Dec. 8
- Bedford Hills Memorial Park Dec. 13
- Harbor Island Park Dec. 14
- Passidomo Veterans Memorial Park Dec. 16
The hot chocolate-fueled events will each take place from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Mayer is asking attendees to bring canned or other non-perishable foods with them to be donated to local food banks.

Participants are asked to RSVP with her office and to indicate which event you plan to attend when reserving your spot (in case an event is canceled due to weather).
