"Both Don and Lee are driven by a desire to serve the community they love."

To the Editor:

As Bedford voters we need to ask ourselves what are the skills we want in our board representatives. The role of the Town Board is to represent the entire community. I believe there are important skills that make someone right for this job: experience, leadership, integrity and work ethic. There are many difficult decisions to be made and it is important to listen, be inclusive, build consensus and find common ground.

Don Scott and Lee Roberts have these skills. For many years they have both dedicated themselves to our community with involvement in virtually all aspects of our Town - from civic to educational to municipal. Their volunteer resumes are vast and their commitment to Bedford is of the highest order. They are two of the most knowledgeable, effective, committed and hardworking individuals I have ever met.

Both Don and Lee are driven by a desire to serve the community they love. Together they have pledged to help us meet our fiscal challenges, support our community organizations and preserve our environment, open space and history. They know our community, the concerns of our residents, businesses and civic associations. They have the skills, the experience and the dedication to help keep Bedford the very best place to live and work.
