Letter to the Editor: Supporting Candidates Burdick, Carr and Gabrielson

This Bedford voter says the trio is compassionate and caring.

Dear Editor,

Compassion and caring, This is why I support Supervisor Chris Burdick for re-election, David Gabrielson for re-election to town Board and MaryAnn Carr for election to Town Board.

Years back I asked Chris for help, he took hours with me out of his frenetic work schedule and went to work on my problem, sticking to it and corralling others with expertise in the area. I did not know Chris at this time and hadn’t expected it. I have since learned that he dose this sort of thing routinely and now understand why he says that his greatest pleasure in serving the town is to help individuals with their needs. This is what government should be doing and he’s doing it aplenty.

David Gabrielson is cut from the same mould-he saw the need to support community organizations. He took the lead in providing town co-sponsorship of community events to help defray some of the overtime costs of town personnel. He saw how these organizations are so important to a true sense of community.

MaryAnn Carr modestly works in the trenches as a volunteer without tooting her own horn. She was asked to run because of her compassion and dedication. She happens also to be a smart business lady who brings those skills as well
