Letter to the Editor: Vander Linden Best Choice for Board Seat

The election will held March 15.

Written by Lee V.A. Roberts

The Town of Bedford citizens have an important opportunity on Tuesday, March 15, 2016. That is the date of the special election to choose a candidate to fill the unexpired seat on the town board vacated by Francis Corcoran’s election to the County Legislature. My choice is Luke Vander Linden.

Luke is a smart, energetic and deeply engaged resident of Bedford Hills. He has shown his commitment to this community through his enthusiastic participation on the Bedford Hills Library Board, the Lions Club, the Bedford Hills Neighborhood Association and through Bedford Hills Live-the dynamic new not for profit organization. Luke has brought his communication and technology skills to bear as a member of the Town’s Communication Committee and he has ably served for several years on Bedford’s Recreation and Parks Advisory Board. Luke has also found time to sit on the Westchester Library Association’s Board and serves as President of the 100 Year Association of New York. His commitment to his community and beyond is obvious.

His sense of humor and conversance with diverse topics are a welcome addition to our discussions. Luke’s youth and his energy and his demonstrated commitment to Bedford make him an ideal choice for Town Board.

Sincerely,
