Lewisboro Man, 68, Arrested on Felony DWI Charge: State Police

The suspect was arrested on Aug. 17.

Lewisboro resident Michael L. Hoye, 68, was arrested Monday on charges of Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 1st Degree, both Felonies, according to state police.

Troopers were dispatched to the Lukoil Gas and Service Station in Lewisboro for a report of a property damage auto collision. An investigation revealed that Hoye was intoxicated at the time of the crash.

State police said Hoye was convicted of another DWI within the last 10 years, which resulted in the felony arrest on Monday. He also was operating a vehicle “despite having a revoked driver’s license due to the previous DWI conviction.”

Hoye’s blood alcohol content was .18 percent, according to state police, an amount which is more than two times the legal limit of intoxication.

He was released after being issued traffic tickets directing him to appear before the Town of Lewisboro Court on Aug. 31.
