Local Artists Showcased at Gallery in the Park Beginning May 16
The exhibit will be at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation in Cross River through July 31.

An exhibit of artwork by four local women artists will open on Saturday, May 16 from 1 - 4 p.m. at the Gallery in the Park at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation in Cross River, Westchester County officials announced.
Entitled Her Nature: Four Women Artists Interpret the Natural World, the exhibit will showcase the work of four members of the Katonah Museum Artists Association: Amanda Lynne, Wendy Isler Alvarez, Patricia Bolgosano and Pallas Athene.
“I am thrilled that our parks department is showcasing the works of these talented, local women at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation,” said County Executive Rob Astorino in a statement.

The debut on the 16th will feature a reception with entertainment and light refreshments.
The works of each artist “draws its inspiration from nature, highlighting a reverence for and love of the natural world creating a common thread that runs through each of the artists’ creations,” organizers said. The styles of the four artists encompass a broad range of genres ranging from Fantastic Realism to photography and mixed media. The artists’ tools are paint, cameras and natural organic materials.

The exhibit will remain on view daily from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through July 31.
Ward Pound Ridge Reservation is a Westchester County Park that is located at the junction of Routes 35 and 121 South in Cross River.
