BEDFORD, NY — Yet another new chance for potential homeowners to combat the ongoing affordable housing crisis is here.

The Housing Action Council announced that a fair and affordable townhome is available for resale at the Lakeside at Bedford, located at 28 Lake Marie Lane, in Bedford Hills.

The "beautifully updated" four-level townhouse has two bedrooms, two-and-a-half bathrooms, a loft, a finished basement, multiple outdoor living spaces, all in "a peaceful, wooded setting."

The sale price of the affordable townhome is estimated to be $350,000. Annual taxes are $3,396.14, monthly common charges are $890.39, and a special assessment is $890.39.

The affordable home will be available to those at or below 110 percent of the area average monthly household income.

In order to qualify, a two-person household can have a maximum income of $149,270, a three-person household can have a maximum income of $167,915, a four-person household can have a maximum income of $186,560, and a five-person household can have a maximum income of $201,520.

The "inviting" main level has a "comfortable" living room with a wood-burning fireplace, a dining room, and a "beautifully renovated kitchen." The renovations were completed in 2018, and include new kitchen cabinetry, a pantry, and backsplash.

In addition, LVT flooring was installed throughout the main floor and upstairs.

The upper levels have two bedrooms and a "versatile" loft with skylights, making it ideal for a home office, a den, a reading area, or additional living space.

The primary bathroom was renovated with new cabinetry, a shower, and tile, while fixtures in the other two bathrooms were also updated.

A finished basement provides for more "flexible living space," ideal for a recreation room, a media room, a home gym, an office, or guest space.
