MaryAnn Carr to Run for Bedford Town Board
Carr is a private independent Information Technology Contractor and Consultant, and she has a daughter in Fox Lane High School.

Bedford Hills resident MaryAnn Carr was recently endorsed by the Bedford Democratic Committee to run for the Town Board, the group announced. She currently serves as Co-Chair of the committee, and will run with Supervisor Chris Burdick and Deputy Supervisor David Gabrielson in this November’s election.
“MaryAnn is committed to delivering high quality municipal services, supporting affordable housing, maintaining favorable environmental policies in Bedford, and strongly supports the goals of Bedford 2020,” the Democratic group said in a prepared statement. “She is dedicated to the fiscal responsibility and restraint demonstrated by the current leadership in the Bedford Town Hall.”
Carr is an active member of the Antioch Baptist Church, according to the committee. Her work with the church benefits various community groups, including the Community Center of Northern Westchester (Katonah), the Martin Luther King Scholarship program, and the Bedford Correctional Facility Children’s Center. She has been a parent volunteer in the Bedford Central School District since her now 16-year old daughter Sorvina attended Bedford Hills Elementary School. Sorvina is now a Junior at Fox Lane High School.

She has enthusiastically worked on numerous campaigns at the national, state and local level.

Carr is running for the seat currently held by Don Scott. Burdick and Gabrielson are seeking re-election.
