Midnight Wanderers, Donkeys Rescued By Bedford Cops, Good Samaritan
The incident certainly enlivened the graveyard shift.

BEDFORD, NY — The midnight shift was enlivened for Bedford town police Saturday when someone called in to report seeing donkeys on the roadway.
Officers Gerard Williams and Zachary Leone were dispatched to Pound Ridge Road, where they found two actual donkeys.
They didn't run, and they were friendly, so the officers were able to keep them in place until transport and temporary stalls could be arranged, Lt. Jeff Gulick told Patch.
