The Movie Theater at Bedford Playhouse Closes
Operated by Bow Tie Cinemas, the theater closed over the weekend.

The Bow Tie Cinemas at Bedford Playhouse closed over the weekend, a move that was expected for the past several months.
The theater chain, which operates movie houses throughout Westchester and Fairfield counties, had decided last year not to renew its lease at the facility and shut down following screenings on Sunday. References to the Bedford location have been removed from the Bow Tie website, but the company’s Mount Kisco cinema remains open.
Owners of the building, Alchemy Properties, hope to lease it to another movie theater entity, but the property also contains retail space which could be expanded into the theater if a movie tenant does not materialize.
