Next Stop, Lasdon Holidays on the Hill Annual Train Show

The model train show and fundraiser is a local tradition and is quickly becoming a regional attraction. Did we mention Santa will be there?

KATONAH, NY —This year's Lasdon Holidays on the Hill Annual Train Show is poised to be bigger and better than ever.

Organizers say the re-imagined event is going to another level — literally. The show has expanded to more than 5,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor exhibit space. Before visitors see the first model train, a stroll through the conservatory's festive holiday exhibits helps to set the mood.

Once inside, visitors will see trains chugging in every which direction, along nine multi-level tracks, over bridges, under tunnels, through picturesque holiday scenes and among the colorful seasonal plants of the conservatory. There is nothing that could possibly add any more holiday magic to this exhibit.

Well, there is, maybe, one person who could lend a bit of holiday gravitas to the event.

Santa will be available to meet with children in his Holiday Cottage located opposite the conservatory at scheduled times during each session. Visits with Santa are only available as space and time permit.
