North Salem Man Stabs Woman Following Argument: Police

He allegedly used a kitchen knife in the incident.

NORTH SALEM, NY — State Police arrested a North Salem man for allegedly stabbing someone after an argument. Miguel A. Morales, 58, of North Salem, was charged with second-degree assault, police said. Troopers were dispatched around 5:27 p.m. Aug. 6 to Sugar Hill Road in North Salem for a domestic incident.

Morales allegedly stabbed a 62-year-old woman several times with a kitchen knife following a verbal argument. (For more information on this and other neighborhood stories, subscribe to Patch to receive daily newsletters and breaking news alerts.)

She was taken to Westchester Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Morales was arraigned in the Town of North Salem Court and sent to the Westchester County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail or bond.

He is due to reappear in court Monday, Aug. 7.
