Police Respond to Domestic Incident, Shoot and Kill Man with Gun

State police will have a press conference to discuss the shooting.

Middletown, NY — A police officer shot and killed a 56-year-old man who came out of an apartment with a gun in Middletown Wednesday.

According to Midhudsonnews.com, Middletown police were responding to a call of a domestic incident on Overlook Drive where the man was threatening to shoot his ex-girlfriend.

The New York State Police have scheduled a press conference Thursday to discuss circumstances surrounding the evening shooting.

They ask that anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have information regarding it call the Troop F Bureau of Criminal Investigation at 845-344-5300.
