Pound Ridge To Hold Public Hearing On Economic Development

The town is weighing the formation of a committee to find ways to boost the economy.

POUND RIDGE, NY — The Town of Pound Ridge is talking about forming a committee to drive economic development. To that end, the town board is holding a public hearing at 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 8.

According to a press release, residents and interested parties can attend and share their feedback on the formation and mandate of the committee.

Town Supervisor Kevin Hansan said the committee will bring together “innovative Pound Ridge visionaries and from a number of fields with representatives from the district’s business organizations to recommend a comprehensive strategy to the town board.

“Having a viable business district delivering the services Pound Ridge residents need is essential and the community must work together to promote shopping, buying and dining in Pound Ridge,” he said.

The public hearing will be held at the Town House, 179 Westchester Ave. in Pound Ridge.
