Protests Near Grand Central Could Complicate Evening Commute: MTA
Donald Trump is presidential candidate who is the target of the protests at a fundraising event on 42nd Street.

Demonstrations in the area around Grand Central Terminal in Manhattan this evening have prompted Metro North officials to warn its customers to expect crowded conditions and some street closures.
All three Republican presidential candidates will be appearing at a black-tie fundraiser at the Grand Hyatt New York, according to the Journal News.
The hotel is on 42nd Street, just east of Grand Central.

The MTA said people using Grand Central should allow for extra travel time to and from the terminal.
According to the Protest Donald Trump at the NY State Republican Gala Facebook page, the protests are aimed at the real estate mogul and reality TV star for his “bigotry, xenophobia, misogyny, racism and hatred” they say he’s exhibited during the campaign.

The authority encouraged people to use the North End Access to the Terminal at either the 47th Street and Madison Avenue or 48th Street and Park Avenue entrances.
